Estate Sale
This is a letter of commendation for the outstanding professional service that
Mark Machado provided me in the recent sale of my brother's home in San Rafael. This home had been in the family for 40 plus years and was an estate sale.
There were many problems and issues that needed to be resolved before the home could be sold. This included working effectively
with the San Rafael Planning Department to resolve a number of improperly
permitted home improvements. There were a number of meetings with Planning that
Mark coordinated and attended. Dealing with Planning was often time consuming and
frustrating but Mark stayed focused, patient, supportive and sensitive during
our four month ordeal,
During this time we needed the services of an architect, contractor, painter,
floor finisher, and stager, all of whom Mark provided and coordinated. In the
sale of the home there were some complex issues that Mark also handled very
well. The sale went through smoothly and we got our asking price.
This was a difficult time for me and my family but Mark was absolutely fantastic
to work with. I very much appreciated his hard work and caring nature.

Selling in a difficult Market
I first met Mark when he listed my next door neighbor's home in early 2007, after the housing market had
started to tighten up. The house had actually sold twice in the preceding five years,
so we were surprised and impressed to see
that Mark got more
people visiting the house in a down market than we had seen come through in either of the boom time sales.
We expected to see him host one or two open homes and then leave, but this was not the case. Mark was there, with a
strong flow of visitors every Sunday until he put the 'Under Offer' sign up.
We were completely impressed by his constant attention to the property and to all
the prospects who came through.
